Os americanos Defeater entraram em estúdio para a gravação do seu segundo longa duração. O álbum, esperado para os inícios de 2011, sucede ao EP "Lost Ground" e ao LP "Travels". A banda, que é conhecida pelos seus álbuns conceptuais, não irá surpreender na especificidade técnica do mesmo, ou seja, espera-se novo álbum conceptual. O vocalista Derek Archambauld explica:
While I can't give up all of the details on the storyline quite yet, let's just say that this new album will incorporate themes and characters that the listener has been introduced to already, in addition to bringing some new stuff into the mix. The writing process thus far has been very personally gratifying and I can't wait to have another chapter of Defeater's story out for the world to hear.
A banda passou por Portugal em 2009, na altura a abrir o concerto de Biohazard no Cine-Teatro de Corroios, juntamente com os Comeback Kid.
